A word about your privacy

We respect your privacy. Not only do we respect it, but we also protect it. The private information you share with us stays with us. We do, however, provide or collect your information as is required by legislation to those to whom you have authorized us to release information. They include the financial institutions you’ve asked us to deal with, and specialized service providers (like the people who print our account statements). All of the above must meet our rigorous privacy standards. We’ve provided this content for your interest and information. This policy does have a legal tone that reflects both the importance of the issue and it is consistent with recent federal legislation.

Privacy Code

Castle First Bank (“Fredrick”) is committed to keeping customers’ personal information accurate, confidential, secure and private. The Fredrick Privacy Code is an embodiment of this commitment.

Cookies

A “cookie” is a small piece of data placed on your computer by a web server when visiting certain websites. This data usually contains encoded information that informs the web server how and when you have used their site.

There are two types of cookies used by Fredrick:

1. Session Cookies

One type of cookie currently used by Fredrick is a session cookie. These cookies are stored in temporary memory and will disappear after you leave the Fredrick website. These cookies enable you to move back and forth within a secure banking session. When you leave the site, they expire and are no longer active.

2. Persistent cookies:

Another type of cookie used by Fredrick is a persistent cookie. These cookies are kept on your online device for longer, usually 30 to 90 days, and may be longer in some cases (e.g. Google Analytics Cookies). They are used to monitor your activity on the Castle First Bank websites and, based on your interests, offer you relevant ads when you visit our sites or partner websites elsewhere on the Internet. This type of cookie is also used as part of our user authentication procedure to help ensure that unauthorized individuals are prevented from accessing your Account(s). Another type of cookie we use (sometimes referred to as Spotlight technology) is used for site personalization, internal reporting, statistics, marketing (by allowing us to offer Fredrick products or services that may be of interest to you), and to measure user visits. This information is not shared with outside organizations. These cookies are pixels, or transparent GIF files, to help manage online advertising. These GIF files are provided by our ad management partner. These files enable our ad management partner to recognize a unique cookie on your web browser, which in turn enables us to learn which advertisements bring users to our website. The cookie was placed by us, or by another advertiser who works with our ad management partner. With both cookies and Spotlight technology, the information that we collect is anonymous and not identifiable to you personally. It does not contain your name, address, telephone number, email address or any other personal information. Fredrick does not and will not use cookies to retrieve data from your hard drive or to obtain your email address or other personal information.

If you don’t agree with Fredrick’s use of cookies, please discontinue the use of this website.
